Guidelines
Barefoot Dancing is all about letting go and spontaneity, while creating a safe and comfortable space for everyone. Here are a few guidelines to help support us in that:
@ There’s no such thing as a wrong way to dance. Let your body go - and enjoy!
@Experiment. Try things you’ve never done before. Find out what your body can do.
@Follow your feeling – sometimes you’ll want to dance on your own, sometimes you’ll be drawn to play with others. Let it change naturally and stay true to yourself.
@Use your body to express and communicate rather than words. Keep talking on the dance floor to a minimum.
@Respect other people’s personal space, even as you move around the room as much as you want.
@The music will continuously change. Some you’ll like, some you won’t. Keep an open mind and let the music move through you, whatever it may be.
@Dance in bare feet. Socks are OK, but sometimes can be slippery.
@Come fresh and clean, without using perfume or heavily scented products.
@Please turn off your cell phone.
@Please no smoking, alcohol or drugs. Get high on your own energy....;-)
